Colonial Knife and Fork Open Sugar, Hocking Depression Glass

Hocking Glass company made their Colonial Knife and Fork Depression Glass pattern from 1934 to 1936 and this clear glass, double handle open sugar bowl is a fine example. Most likely had a domed lid originally, according to Gene Florence's "Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass", Fifteenth Edition, Page 41; however, no lid is available with this piece. In excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, crystal clear glass, and shows minimal wear. Measures 4-1/4 inches tall with a 4 inch diameter opening and is 6-3/8 inches wide from handle to handle. A perfect companion to your other matching Depression Glass pieces!
