Rhino Cold-Paint Whitewash Brush by Wright Bernet. This sturdy, vintage Rhino paint brush, made by Wright-Bernet, Inc. in Hamilton, OH, has a wooden handle and rugged broom straw bristles. It was made for use on basement walls, concrete blocks, and fences.
Marked "4602 Rhino, Made in USA" with the Wright-Bernet 4-leaf clover logo on one side of its wooden collar, and "Cold-Water Paint, White Wash, Kalsomine, Paste & Cement Applicator" on the other.
Brush measures 11-1/2 inches long from tip of handle to tip of bristles; collar is 6-1/4 inches wide and bristles flare out to 8-1/2 inches wide at the ends; bristles themselves measure 3-7/8 inches long.
In excellent vintage condition, and is very clean to have been used for whitewashing. Wooden handle has a manufactured hole in its end for hanging.
The 4602 Rhino brush is still manufactured today but has a very different, modern appearance. This particular brush was purchased at a local estate sale and is estimated to be from the 1940-50's. Since 1935, Wright-Bernet has been a leader in the manufacture of quality cleaning and preparation products for the home and workplace, and the company is still going strong today.
Great for primitive collectors to display along with other tools of long ago!
