Primitive Tin Chicken Feeder ~ 6 Holes
Here is an old galvanized tin chicken feeder, used by farmers for feeding grain to chickens through the 6 holes. These feeders were placed in the chicken coop and grain was poured in the pan/base, the lid with holes was placed on top and chickens could feed by placing their heads into the holes. Has definitely been used; is in excellent vintage condition with slight rust on inside of top around holes; has slight dent in outer edge of top; measures 6" diameter and about 1-3/8" high. Nice old piece for those into farm collectibles...great conversation piece!
