Victorian Milk Glass Lion's Head Barber Bottle

Though sadly missing it's stopper, the ball shaped base of this ornate milk glass decanter remains in very good condition. Embossed with four lion's heads, each spaced equally near the round base, this bottle has retained quite a bit of it's original cold paint gilding. The burnished gold paint highlights the laurel like embossing that frames each lion's head. Originally the bottle also carried a blue floral design which has mostly faded and could be entirely removed if desired. The ball shaped bottle has a very short neck. The mouth carries the only nicks (typical of these) and no cracks are found. It measures approximately 6" wide at the widest point and 6 1/2" tall.
