The Model Railroader Cyclopedia, 1944 Edition

The first edition of The Model Railroader Cyclopedia (The Book of Plans),Railroad Equipment Prototype Plans was issued in 1936. According to the foreward in this 1944 edition, this updated edition includes not only the original multiple photographs, diagrams, drawings and schematics on building Model Trains and Railroads but this text also includes valuable text for the beginner.

The book is arranged by Locomotive types, Electric Railroad Equipment, Passenger Cars, Freight Cars, Right of Ways, and Structures. The book contains 184 pages of unbelievably thorough and technical information plus another 27 pull out plates.

Considered "paper back" the book has a hard cardboard cover. The cover is worn and there are light water circles at the bottom of several pages but no actual damage to the pages or the printed material. Otherwise the book is in wonderful condition. The only marking found is the notation of a previous owners name and address.
