Large Sterling Silver Kokopelli Pin

The Hopi Indians have historically believed that a fertility god; known as Kokopelli, carries unborn children on his back and distributes them to women. He was a very common early figure found engraved in rocks and caves throughout the Southwestern United States. Irregardless of his history, this high stepping flute player is at a minimum wildly cute! In our peace loving hippie culture of the late 1960's to early 70's, the Kokopelli became quite a popular entity again and was often found on jewelry or pottery.
