Antique Hand Painted Stouffer Sugar & Lid
This antique lidded sugar is a deep rich "Christmas" green with a matte finish. The hand painted gold decoration has the typical sheen and the floral design is nicely intact. An early 1900's Stouffer's mark is fading but is legible with a magnifying glass. Stouffer was an early to middle 20th Century porcelain decorating firm in Chicago that competed with Pickard. This sugar bowl is pure white and sparkling clean inside. Measuring 5 1/2" wide and 3 1/2" tall including handles. Both the bowl and it's top are without cracks, chips, or breaks of any kind.
