Blue Hazel Atlas Newport Sugar
By Hazel Atlas, this fired on blue Newport sugar is also referred to as the "Hairpin Pattern." The scalloped base and trophy like handles are somewhat unique. The Newport colors match the Moderntone colors, also by Hazel Atlas. These pieces also lend themselves to multicolor or "rainbow" collecting. The fired on colors range from this pastel blue to pink, and green to the deeper more vibrant orange and yellow, and even dark green. A collection of Newport in a variety of colors is quite eye catching! This sugar is 4" tall and in great condition. There is one very small place on one handle that appears to have been missed when the blue was fired on leaving the white showing through. No chips, nicks, or breaks.
