Copyrighted 1909 by Julius Bien & Co. This circulated Halloween postcard is postmarked 1910. The title in the lower left corner is "What The Pig Thot Of The Ghost" ...Oblivious to any ghostly apparition created by a sheet on a pole, this piggy is making a feast of the Jack O Lantern pumpkin. A crescent moon and a witch on her broom add to the Halloween scene. This card is part of the 980 series of Halloween postcards by Julius Bien and is numbered 9802. The colors are rich and the card is embossed. The copyright information is in the right lower portion of the card front and the company logo is present on the back. It is in very good condition. The corners are bumped but no tears. The note on the back is written in pencil and someone's name is neatly written in small letters in ink on the back of the card.
