Antique Woolson Spice Co. Advertising Easter Card

The Lion Coffee Company began in 1864, selling not only coffee by the pound but ground spices as well. The Lion Company was then purchased by Alvin Woolson in 1882 and was then reborn as Woolson Spice Company.

This Victorian trading card advertising Lion Coffee is copyrighted 1891. According to the ad on the back of the card, this Easter Greeting card was a promotion originally given out in a package of coffee. The large picture card measures 4 3/4" x 7" and features a Bunny Rabbit with Lilies in the foreground and a church scene by moonlight in the centered window.

The card is in very good condition. The bottom right corner has a creased bend and the left corner slight curling and a small bend.
