This vintage hammer stamping embossing bench tool appears to be for leather etc. with flat advertising end marked TRUSPORT SPORTS OF ALL SORTS PHILA. PA. On a search I found "TruSport was a brand name of merchandise distributed by Edw. K Tryon of Philadelphia. Knives, tools and saws from the 1800's were stamped with the truSport brand. Eventually TruSport was used for athletic goods." I also found "SPORTS OF ALL SORTS" was marked on some of their Baseball Glove boxes from the 1930s. The handle of the punch is marked "ABRAMS & BARTON 704 SANSOM ST. PHILA. PA. I was unable to find information on this tool maker. The punch measures approx. 3 7/8 inches long. The handle is approx. ¾ of a inch on each side. The punch area is approx. 1 ¼ by ½ of a inch. The punch is painted black. It is used with wear in good condition.
