Degenhart Dark Amethyst Owl Figure
This is one of Elizabeth Degenhart's beautiful owls. She made over 200 colors. This color is called Dark Amethyst. This owl, which is sitting on two books, measures approximately 3.5" high. It is signed on the bottom (see picture). The signatures on all of Mrs. Degenhart's owls are hand stamped and sometimes hard to see.

Mrs. Degenhart made wonderful colored glass items in her shop in Cambridge, Ohio until her death in 1979. Her will stipulated that her mark could no longer be used.
