The Metropolitan Cook Book Booklet Advertising

This delightful cookbook was published by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and is undated. The illustration on the cover leads me to believe it is from the 1920s. The booklet tells us that right living is largely dependent on healthful eating. It says that it is sometimes hard to feed the family nourishing food and at the same time give it the variety which quickens the appetite. The booklet has been provided to help the housewife with the everlasting question, "What shall I have for dinner tonight?"

This 64 page booklet is full of recipes for: batters and doughs; beverages; bread; cakes; cereals; chicken; desserts; eggs; fish, etc. One that particularly appeals to me is "Chicken a la King". There are just too many to mention!

This booklet is in very good condition, The pages are all clean and bright with no writing or damage. The little light dot in the center of the front cover is not there--it is a malfunction of my scanner. This is a really nice one to add to your collection.
