Peacock Brand Postcard of Queen Elizabeth and Kenilworth Castle

This unique card has a cameo of Queen Elizabeth at the center, surrounded by four view of Kenilworth Castle. Queen Elizabeth, who was the daughter of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, was born at Greenwich in 1553. She ascended to the Throne in 1558 and died in 1603. Her Majesty presented the Castle of Kenilworth to the Earl of Leicester in 1563, and frequently visited him there.

This is a Peacock "Autochrom" card that was produced and published by the Pictoral Stationery Co., Ltd., London.

This card is unused and in very good condition with only very slight corner bumping.
