Indian Princess by Campfire - Painting by Charles Relyea and Poem by Florence J. Mastin

This wonderful depicts an Indian Princess sitting by the campfire with a soldier saluting and standing at attention in the background. This painting was done by Charles Relyea and it is very consistent with his style. He lived from1863 - 1932.

The poem says: "When the stars like bees are swarming in the pines, And the flame a dream is forming Where it shines, Close her Scout stands straight and tall Where the fire light shadows fall.

The card is in very good vintage condition with only very minor corner bumping.

This card has a message written on the back but was not postally used. It was by the Fairman Co., Cin. & N.Y.
