This delightful children's book tells the story of three wandering swans and the townspeople and fishermen of the Irish seaside town of Ballycastle. This book was written by Walter Hackett, illustrated by Bettina, published by Ariel Books, Farrar, Straus & Young Inc., New York. It is the 1954 selection of the Weekly Reader Children's Book Club. This book has a 1954 copyright date and is a stated First Edition.

The book has blue cloth covers and an red silhouette of the three swans on the front cover. There are delightful color and black and white illustrations throughout the 64 page book. It is in very good condition. There are no marks, tears, discoloration, or writing on the pages, with the exception of a pencil notation on the end paper stating "Saturday, September 25th, 1954.
