I was introduced to CORTEFIEL Rain Coats in the 1960's by a neighbor who worked for them. She had a whole wordrobe of their coats. She was so enthusiastic about their product that she invited my Mom and myself up to their showroom in NYC. We each selected a lovely well made rain coat. When I spotted this rain coat at an estate sale...it brought back memories!

I think this rain coat was a SAMPLE. The label has printed "Spring" across it.

This poplin raincoat is marked a size 8. It is made of medium weight combed cotton poplin. Pockets are side sashed with cuffs and button. The cuffs feature a sash and buckle. The leather-bound belt buckle shows wear. There are epaulets on shoulders and the bib front is detachable. There is one tiny light orange stain. The toast taffeta lining features a bonded interlining. It is in very good vintage condition. It could use new buckles and a cleaning.
