Tablecloth 72" X 108"...12 Napkins..Hand Embroidered & Crochet Inserts..China 1950's..Never Used..Excellent Condition

There once was a Catholic Priest who had a sister in Pelham, NY and most every summer in the 1950's he would visit Italy. He really had no clue what his sister liked so he bought her a hand-made tablecloth just like the Italians used to make, but now they were made in China. His sister accumulated many tablecloths over the years and most she never took out of their package. This is one of them made of 100% cotton but it looks like a light weight quality linen. It has a fine linen weave..croched lace inserts on and near the corners and satin embroidery stitching of flowers with inserts of openwork. The edge of the coordinating napkins. The set has never been used. It was stored in plastic bag. There are no storage markings or spots that I can detect. It looks new, but the workmanship is old fashioned. China does not make this quality anymore! In fact, when the Priest purchased this cloth from Italy, CHINA goods were banned from the USA!

The tablecloth measures 72" X 108" and the 12 napkins measure 14" X 15".
