This is a wonderful retro kitchen look from the 1930's or 40's....a rounded cookie jar with lid and a pair of salt and pepper shakers to match! I do not know the maker. It is the type of kitchen-wear pottery that Kitchen Craft, Universal Cambridge and Hall made way back when. I checked the Hall collector book and it is not in there. It is definitely a rare set! If anyone knows, please tell!!!
The dimensions are 8" tall, not including the lid; 26" in diameter and 4" for the opening. The shakers are 3 1/2" tall.
The set is in good condition. One shaker has a chip on the bottom which is not noticeable when standing. The jar has l wavy line crack in the glaze that encircles the jar. There is crazing on all three pieces, but no discoloration. There is also a 2" fine diagonal line crack in the center of the jar between the flowers and a small chip on the rim at the base of the jar.
