This is a SPECIAL novelty lamp from 1952. It shows the reclining body of a young Oriental girl. She is leaning on the shade. The lamp is made of ceramic and the cone shaped shade has a fine squiggled design..as pictured. The year, 1952 and the name of the maker is etched in the ceramic...which I can't read all of the letters. What I can make out is STATUAR... The figurine and shade are in very, very good condition. I cannot detect any flaws. The lamp stands 16" tall; the umbrella is 5.25" wide and the base is 6.25" wide. It is in working order with the original cord. However, I suggest with all vintage lamps, the wire should be changed for safety reasons. It is very easy to re-wire a lamp. ENJOY!
