Vintage..Designer Dress..Velvet Bodice / Double layer Chiffon Skirt..Tie..Size 6..Excellent Condition

Vintage Elizabeth Wayman / New York..satin label..party / formal dress of black velvet bodice [lined with taffeta] and double layer black chiffon skirt. The fiber content is 10% silk and 90% rayon. Beautifully made both inside and outside..all lined like most of the fashions that are featured in my shop. I look for the old craftsmanship!

Have you noticed the attached chiffon tie? It can be draped both to the front or back of the dress.

The black chiffon skirt features a double layer. The inner layer is heavier and the outer layer is light. Both are of a crepe weave, There is a long back zipper. The dress is in excellent condition. It has been gently worn only a couple of times.

The measurements for this dress marked size 6 are as follows: BUST 35"; WAIST 26"; 13" Shoulder-to-Shoulder; BODICE 15.5"; Length 50.5" long.

In today's market it is difficult to find dresses that are made for and sized for woman...and also well made. These are the qualities that I look for when I shop for my store on Ruby Lane. I also have a difficult time finding dresses that are over size 8!
