While I was shopping for padded mailing envelopes at the 99 Cent Store, I poked my head in a second hand store for a moment and there I saw this wonderful blanket cover and floral rose bedspread with a black ground... that I just finished putting in my shop!
The blanket cover is of a very light weight cotton. I think it is feed sack fabric. It has a seam where two pieces of fabric were joined; the blanket cover is edged with pink cotton seam binding and has a zipper that is in good working order. The print is a cloud of roses. There are pale pastel pink roses and green roses. It is a delightful old print from the 20's, 30's or 40's. There are two small tears near the bottom or where the feet were. They can easily be mended. I took pictures, but the smaller hole or tear did not register in the camera. You can see the larger one...even though the print is light. This blanket cover can also be cut-up and made into a hand-sewn quilt. Good idea? ENJOY!!
PS...Please visit the rest of my shop where you will find a large variety of interesting items that are ANYTHING VINTAGE! Thanks!
