Vintage Inset Collar Circa 1920's
This is a wonderful fancy inset collar. It is circa 1920.
This is large enough to fit around my neck so I would say it's more for a person then a doll, unless your doll is large. If you can sew the material would make a wonderful dress!
The insert measures 17 1/2" from top to bottom and 12" across.
The insert is made of a sheer muslin with three tiny tucks near the bottom. It is trimmed with a 2" wide silk. They are sewn together with drawn work stitching.
Condition: Good. I have taken a picture of the only spot. I did not wash this item or try and clean it in any way.
This is a wonderful item. If you can't use it as an inset collar, you could always use it for one of your larger dolls as a fancy bib. As with all of my items this comes from a smoke free home.
