Very Early Hand Crocheted Doll Booties

These are two pair of very early hand crochet baby doll booties. The cream booties with blue ribbon measure 4" long, 2" wide and 3" high. As booties are tied now they are 2 1/2" at the ankle. Hand crocheted of silk thread these booties have a flower type design on the top with flowers 1" a part around the top. Circa 1900.

Condition: Replacement ribbons. Several sewn repairs. These booties are fragile.

The desert brown pair with pink ribbons measure 3 1/2" long, 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/2" tall with an ankle strap that is 6" around. Beautiful formed bootie for larger baby doll circa 1890.

Condition: Good. Original ribbon is very fragile and broken and repaired in places.
