Antique French Rubis Pompadour Circa 1890s
This very hard to find item is a miniature French Pompadour container. It measures 1 1/4" around and is made from a very strong cardboard type material with a textured paper cover. The lid has the original sticker which reads "Rubin Pompadour / Paris" the bottom also retains the original sticker that reads, "Made/In/France". The box is still a very vivid red with the white wording on top in near perfect condition. Great patina. How sweet this would be inside a fashion doll's purse or just sitting on her dresser!

Condition: Gently loved. The container is very strong and is still a very vivid red coloring without any breaks. Some scuffing over entire box. No repaint or touch ups.
