Iroquois Indian Boot Whimsy Circa 1900s
This Iroquois Indian beadwork was done in the shape of a boot. The boot measures 5 1/2" long including bead fringe and 3" wide. The fabric is a shiny cotton with multicolor beads sewn onto the boot. A boot of this size would have been made to hang on the wall. It has a pocket in the top to hold anything from a comb to hat pins. The boot is firmly stuffed and the fabric is strong.
