Antique Alice In Wonderland Parian Doll Circa 1875

This is one of my favorite Parian dolls of all time. This 17 1/2" Alt,Beck & Gottschalck blond haired "Alice In Wonderland" parian is circa 1875. The model for this very popular doll was of course the fairy tale book "Alice In Wonderland". This parian shoulder head has a modelled black hair band that holds her deeply molded hair combed back from her forehead. She has painted one stroke brows with red eye lines, blue eyes, deeply molded philtrum and a closed mouth with large coral lips on a wonderful cloth muslin body that is jointed giving her the ability to sit very easily. Her body is so wonderful that she even has individual stitched toes on her foot! How wonderful is that! Alice wears a very vintage hand made black velvet skirt with yellow hand made cotton blouse and black velvet cape trimmed in gold and black twill with a matching purse. Under her skirt is an antique corset along with antique pantaloons, chemise and half petticoat. Shoes and socks are replacement.

Condition: Great! She is without any breaks, chips or repairs of any kind. Please see pictures. Her body is fantastic! Her arms are replacement.
