Vintage Pique Dress For Your Early Child Doll Circa 1940s

This is a vintage winter white dress that would look great on your German bisque head child doll. The dress measures 19 1/2" from shoulder to hem line and 10 1/2" from under arm to under arm. The dress is a white pique with a bolero jacket. The jacket is trimmed with light pink tatting. Around the edge of the jacket is an light pink feather stitching. Under the bolero jacket is a thin cotton bodice. It closes with two button and one snap. The puff sleeves have cut out lace work at the edging and tatting. The jacket has two snaps on either shoulder to help take it off/on. The skirt has a large hem as most older dresses do.

Condition: This dress is not perfect. On the bolero jacket there is a repair. It has been sewn well, and you do have to look to find it. Please see picture. I did see a few other repairs in the skirt area. All repaired the same way. It does have a few pin holes, but again they are not obvious. You have to look for them.

This dress is a wonderful dress and does deserve a second look. As you can see by the pictures it would look great on any doll. Because of the high bodice a chunky body doll would look great in this dress. As with all of my items this comes from a smoke free home.
