Here is an exquisite hand painted egg shell china cup signed by the artist, featuring delicate pink apple blossoms and rich green leaves. The cup handle and edges of cup and saucer are hand painted with gold enamel. This dainty piece of porcelain is nearly weightless. The cup is 2 3/8" tall and 2 3/4" across the brim. The saucer is 5 1/2" in diameter and is signed M Peal. Marked under glaze with incised number 214 and an elongated X shape (or crossed swords?), also on underside of saucer. We believe it to be from circa 1890-1900. This is truly a little treasure, without a single blemish.
