1897 Eggshell Porcelain Demitasse Set, Pouyet, Limoges, France

115 years old, this Pouyat, Limoges yellow rose demitasse set is the finest paper-thin translucent porcelain. The artist's delicate work includes beautiful yellow roses on both cup and saucer and white enamel embellishments to the form's scroll work which make a thoughtfully blended design. Both pieces are marked with the Pouyat mark circa 1890-1932 (Gaston #5); saucer is signed and dated by the artist: "EMP, 4/97." Saucer measures 4.5" in diameter and cup is 2.25" across the brim. Both pieces are flawless.
