As some of you know, most of the items listed are family items. Our family had a lot of good stuff. There is some wonderful cut glass. This punch bowl is just magnificent! In the south, bowls like this are sometimes refered to as "ambrosia bowls".It is very heavy and the thickness is great. The piece is richly cut with hobstars, crosshatches and a deep;y cut sawtooth edge. The bowl and pedestal are in two pieces and are magnificiant. As you cut glass collectors know, cut glass was expensive even when it was made in the late 1800's- as fewer and fewer pieces survive each year the prices continue to escalate. We want and need to sell, so our prices are very fair. I don't know if this is signed or not. I couldn't find a signature, but they are often hard to find. The pattern is intricate and very well done. There are a few minor flea-bites, but in really good condition. Provenance:American Circa:1885-1900
