This lovely Antique Blue Transfer Cup and Saucer, features a scene with an English Country Manor House with people and their dogs wandering in it's lovely grounds. It is nicely accented with bands of gold around the rim, foot and handle. This set is English earthenware [pottery] from the Staffordshire area and would date to about 1880. It is not marked, many of the older pieces were not. It stands 3 1/2" high, the cup is 3 1/4" across at the rim and the saucer 6". They are both in excellent condition for their age, just a light crazing and minimal wear to the gold, which is to be expected and just adds to the charm of this lovely set.
