This Victorian Bisque Porcelain Figural group, features a pretty young girl in a blue dress playing ball with her sweet little kitten. They stand on a grassy mound with a rustic fence behind, the large fence post is in the form of a very dainty bud vase or posy vase, just the right size for a few violets or snowdrops. This is from the mid 1800s and is hand painted very nicely, with tiny gold beads on her dress accented with a pink sash and deeper pink shoes. Although this is very reminiscent of the old Staffordshire figures, I believe this one to be from Germany, the only mark is a green 57, maybe 1857 or just a painters mark. It is in excellent condition with no damage of any sort and measures 3" wide by 3 3/4 high. A lovely quality item and a great gift for any cat lover.
