This lovely Antique Flow Blue Bowl is in the Watteau pattern and was made by the Doulton Factory in Staffordshire, England between 1891 and 1902. It is 10" across and 1 3/4" deep with a nice piecrust rim accented with gold. The center design is from a painting by the well known artist Watteau, and features an extremely well dressed hunting party in the woods, with their guns and 2 beautiful dogs. The border pattern is very intricate with an inner border of swags of roses draping into the bowl. It has an impressed Doulton mark and also their printed mark from that period, it is in excellent condition with no signs of wear, and has probably spent it's entire life in the china cabinet.
