Vintage Steubenville Monticello, Elegant Pate Sur Pate,Coffee Set

This elegant Steubenville Coffee set includes a coffee pot, covered sugar and creamer, decorated in the pate sur pate technique. It features a classic design of urns and scrolled leaves and vines, in aqua on a soft cream ground. The rim and foot of each piece has a hand applied gold scalloped border and the knobs are also gilded. It is the most elegant and attractive coffee set I have seen in many years, and is just the right size for breakfast in bed or coffee for two. It is well marked with the Adam Antique by Steubenville mark used from 1930s to the 50s, when they closed. This is probably from the early 40s, and is also marked in gold by the Sisters' of St. Mary, who apparently owned it for a while. The condition is excellent, with no damage of any kind, just a very light crazing under the foot of the pot. You really have to look hard to find it, but I wanted you to know.

The pot is 6" tall, 2 1/2" wide across at the base, 5 1/2" including the handle and spout. The covered sugar is 3" high and 4 1/4 across including the handles.
