Old Wooden Butter Mold with Carved Swan
This would be a late nineteenth or early twentieth century butter mold, with a well defined Swan design and a carved border on the stamp. The cowl shows a very nice grain. These were used to identify which farm or dairy, made the butter and are a great addition to any collection of dairy items, or treenware. It stands 5 1/2" high and 3 7/8" wide, and the stamp measures 3 1/8" across. The condition is excellent and this was part of my own collection, which I no longer have room for.
