These lovely salt and pepper shakers are an elegant tapered shape, and hand painted with as scene featuring a red roofed cottage with tall palm trees. It is very well painted, and the background is shaded, in soft shades of orange, white, and gray with a hint of yellow, and the tops are gilded. They are china and stand 2 3/4" tall and 1 12"wide, they are marked with the green, Made in Japan. The condition is excellent, with no wear or fading, a very attractive pair.
