These Exquisite Nippon Style Porcelain shakers, are beautifully decorated with gold overlay and beading. There are hand painted flowers in shades of pink, outlined in gold, with green leaves, and six bands of raised gold beading, on a cream ground. Although they are not marked, I believe them to be of the period between 1891 and 1921. They stand about 2" high, one slightly taller than the other, and 2 1/4" wide. They are in excellent condition, with just normal wear to the gold around the shaker holes, which is to be expected on pieces this old, and the hole on the base of one is enlarged from years of use. Please be sure to click on photo for enlargement and more pictures so that you can really enjoy this item and take a minute to check out some of our other treasures.
