German Porcelain Figure of Young Man with Mandolin
This turn of the century Bisque Porcelain Figure is of a young man in period costume, with a blue jacket and pink bow at the neck, over gray pants. He is playing his Mandolin in front of a column entwined with a vine and hand made porcelain roses on a Rococo base accented with gilding. This lovely piece is hand painted and has the mark of the Van Schierholz's Porcelain factory, in Plaue, Thuringia, Germany C1907, who are well known for high quality porcelain.
