This British Royal Commemorative mug was made for the Coronation of George 6th in 1937. It features sepia tone portraits of King George and Queen Elizabeth, with the Union Jack and British Lion and Unicorn at the sides, and the royal crown with the date 1937 above. It also shows the English Rose, the Scottish Thistles and the Irish Shamrock, with a banner below. The colors are still nice and bright and the mug is in excellent condition except for normal wear to the gold on the rim. It measures 4" long, 3" wide and stands 3 1/4" tall. This is part of a large collection that we found recently.
