This Victorian porcelain Plate is beautifully shaped, and features hand painted garlands of pretty pink, wild hedge Roses. The large scallops on the rim are beaded and painted in Teale with a gold inner border, and luster, which frames the roses very effectively; It measures 8 1/2" across and is in excellent original condition, from an estate collection. The only marking on the back is a number 16. probably a shape number. I feel that this is probably English or European, late 1800s, a unique and very decorative piece.
