This lovely decorative plate has a scene of Shakespear's birthplace in the middle and a Wedgwood style embossed rim.The scene is hand painted over transfer in lovely vibrant colors. It was made in 1951 by Royal Winton, Grimwades in Staffordshire, England and is a nicely shaped square that measures 9" across. I have 2 other plates from this line listed with different scenes, great for the dining room wall. The condition is very good with no chips or cracks but just a little surface crazing, mostly on the back, which does not detract from the beauty of this lovely plate. Please be sure to click on photo for enlargement and more pictures so that you can really enjoy this lovely piece and take a minute or two to check out some of our other treasures.
