This is a vintage, handled, jelly bowl made by A.H. Heisey & Company of Newark, Ohio. The pattern is similar to the Colonial pattern but I believe this is the No. 393 pattern. The bowl has short panels with a clear band at the top and it has angular handles. The 1913 catalog shows this as being a 5 ½” 2 Handled Jelly - Patent No. 42711. It has a ground and polished bottom with a starburst center. The diamond H trademark is in the center on the inside. It could be used a little candy dish or for serving something like lemon wedges.
It measures about 5 ½” in diameter at the top, excluding the handles or 8” across the handles. It tapers slightly so the base measures about 4 ¾”. The bowl measures about 1 ½” high and it measures almost 2” high at the handles. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
