These old stereoptic photos feature three different areas. When these are viewed through a stereoscope viewer, the two identical picture merge as one and give the illusion of being 3-D. The cards were published by the Keystone View Company.
Card #188 pictures a variety of transportations option in Dublin. There are double-decker trolleys, automobiles and pedestrians amid the beautiful architecture. The back of the card has an historic description of the picture on the front with the heading; O’Connell Monument & Nelson Pillar, Dublin.
Card #238 shows a birds eye view of a densely populated London featuring the towers, domes and spires. The description on the back of the card has the heading; The Heart of London.
Card # 277 has the lights of Oslo and the harbor in Norway. The heading on the back of the card reads; Oslo on a Summer Night.
Each card measures about 3 3/8” by 7” and is in very good condition with minimal wear. This cards have a natural curve to them so they do not lie flat as shown in the photograph.
