These old stereoptic photos are glimpses of workers in different parts of the world. When these are viewed through a stereoscope viewer, the two identical picture merge as one and give the illusion of being 3-D. The cards were published by the Keystone View Company.
#156 pictures workers on a coffee plantation in the French West Indies. The back of the card has an historic description of the picture on the front with the heading; Coffee Picker at Work, Guadeloupe, F.W.I..
Card #118 has women weaving hats. The description on the back of the card has the heading; Shaping Panama Hats in Tabacunda, Ecuador.
Each card measures about 3 3/8” by 7” and is in very good condition with minimal wear. This cards have a natural curve to them so they do not lie flat as shown in the photograph.
