Old Stereoscopic Cards - Life in Other Countries

These old stereoptic photos are glimpses of workers in different parts of the world. When these are viewed through a stereoscope viewer, the two identical picture merge as one and give the illusion of being 3-D. The cards were published by the Keystone View Company.

#156 pictures workers on a coffee plantation in the French West Indies. The back of the card has an historic description of the picture on the front with the heading; Coffee Picker at Work, Guadeloupe, F.W.I..

Card #118 has women weaving hats. The description on the back of the card has the heading; Shaping Panama Hats in Tabacunda, Ecuador.

Each card measures about 3 3/8” by 7” and is in very good condition with minimal wear. This cards have a natural curve to them so they do not lie flat as shown in the photograph.

Priced and sold as the pair.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
