This small pottery piece was made by the Weller Art Pottery Company. I believe it is part of the Forest line that was produced from 1915 until the late 1920’s. The design was the creation of Rudolph Lorber, an employee of Weller from about 1905 until 1940. The pot has a high relief pattern of trees in a lush forest landscape. It has rich colors and is quite attractive. It has four small, molded feet on the bottom and is marked with the incised Weller name although only the W ER are visible.
It is a nice little size measuring about 4 ½” tall and 5 ½” in diameter. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no chips, cracks or other damage.
