Mexican - 1948 Cinco Pesos, Silver Coin

This beautiful, old coin is a five peso piece from 1948. On one side is an image of the Aztec Guaumtemoc. It reads; Cinco Pesos - 30 Gramos - Ley 0.900 - Mo.. Basically it is 30 grams (approximately 0.96 troy ounces) of 90% pure silver, minted in Mexico. The reverse side has the Seal of Mexico, the iconic image of an eagle with a snake in its beak. Across the top it reads; Estatos Unidos Mexicanos.

The coin measures about 1 9/16” in diameter and is in nice, circulated condition. It retains most of the detail. There is some soiling or discoloration on the eagle side. This has not been graded.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
