This beautiful bowl is the #1519 Waverly pattern with one of Heisey’s most beautiful and popular etched designs, #507 Orchid that was produced by the Heisey company from 1940 through 1957. It was called their 12” Crimped Bowl and the etching is quite beautiful with the orchid panels alternating with bow and delicate floral spray panels. It’s slightly free-form undulating design with occasional graduated bead edge would make an elegant salad bowl or ornamental console piece. It must have had a paper label as it does not have the Diamond H trademark of A.H. Heisey & Co. of Newark, Ohio in the center of the bowl.
It varies in diameter from 11 ¾” to 12 ¾” and it measures about 4” at the highest wave. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
