Large, Vintage Man's Black Hills Gold Ring 10k- 12k

This is an old, large and elaborate man's Black Hills gold ring. "Black Hills" is a style of jewelry made in the Black Hills area of South Dakota of 10k to 12k tricolor gold (yellow, green, and pink). This has the grape leaf theme which is characteristic of Black Hills gold jewelry and is beautifully made. On the inside it is marked Black Hills Gold - 10k - 12k.

The raised, rectangular face of the ring measures about 1” long by 5/8” across but it measures closer to 1” across at the widest portion. There are two faint lines on the band which would probably indicate that this was half-shanked at some time to resize it and the color match of the gold was not perfect. The band otherwise shows wear but the rest of the ring and its detail are in very good condition. It measures about an 11-11 ½” on my ring mandrel. The overall weight is approximately 11 dwt or 17 grams.
