This is a vintage, pottery flower frog with what appears to be some sort of shore bird with a large beak for scooping up fish. It is standing on what looks like pier posts with holes for the flower stems. The glaze colors resemble Majolica pieces. It is stamped on the bottom; Made in Japan and is probably from the 1930's or 1940's.
It’s a small frog that measures about 4 1/8” high and the base measures about 1 5/8” by 2 7/16”. It is in very nice condition with minimal wear.
